Where it began
From two jobs
to my own business.
I always wanted to build a business of my own. I just hadn’t found the path that would take me there.
My background was in fitness, where I loved helping people work towards their goals. In 2020, I was working two jobs when COVID put me on furlough. For the first time, I had the space to explore my passion for beauty. What began as an interest in nails became an opportunity: something I could build for myself.
I started with no experience and charged £30 a set. Through practice, learning and building relationships with my clients, my calendar filled. At my busiest, I was working with around 120 clients a month. The business I had once only imagined allowed me to leave both jobs and make nails my career.
I kept investing in my education, completing more than 70 professional courses. As my skills developed, so did the value of my work, from those first £30 appointments to sets priced at £150 and above. That growth came from improving my technique, raising my standards and learning to value what I brought to each appointment. In 2023, I won Booksy’s Best Classic Manicure award.
In 2024, I began educating nail technicians and returned to the part of my work I had always loved: helping others build their confidence and their careers. Students have travelled to train with me from Europe, the USA, Australia and Asia. I started teaching on Zoom to connect with artists I couldn’t meet in person, bringing personal guidance into their own workspaces.
My work has opened doors I once couldn’t have imagined. I’ve partnered with brands to create paid content and had my work featured internationally in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Glamour and Cosmopolitan. I’ve travelled internationally to teach, worked with groups of 20–60 people at events and spoken about business mindset alongside practical nail education.
Starting from zero taught me that your starting point doesn’t define what you can build. That belief shapes how I teach today. I want to help you see the possibilities for your own career, develop the skills to pursue them and believe that your goals deserve to be taken seriously.
